We explored the impact of D-mannose on intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD), a condition often accompanied by significant pain. The study utilized various sophisticated methods to demonstrate that D-mannose acts primarily through a gene called TXNIP, which influences glutamine metabolism.

Though our findings suggest that D-mannose has promise in alleviating IVDD’s symptoms, we also acknowledge that it has not shown significant pain-relieving effects compared to traditional treatments. Further research may be needed to fully understand its therapeutic potential for pain management.

After a problematic gynaecological exam in Norway, I developed issues including bone pain and was diagnosed with cystitis. I tried antibiotics, but they only helped temporarily. However, after taking D-Mannose for three days, I could finally sleep through the night without needing to urinate, and after a week, all my symptoms, including the bone pain, vanished. If I stop taking D-Mannose, the symptoms do return.

However, after recurring issues and pain that left me barely able to move, I discovered that the D Mannose might cause discomfort for some. Despite treating my UTI with this product, I now experience significant back pain. I believe it is crucial for users to be cautious of potential side effects.
